"Urgent out of area admission"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Due to services like the MRI facilities in Shroshire not being available at the weekends, my daughter was admitted with drop foot and spinal cord compression urgently last Sat night, she had subsequent surgery on Sunday morning and was admitted to the childrens ward, via A&E where she has remained since. The staff involved have been fabulous, including the theatre staff who provided her with reassurance before surgery, which has been successful. I believe that as soon as her foot brace has been ordered in she will be allowed to go home. Staff on the ward have been very supportive and kind. Unable to thank them enough.

One very relieved Mum.
