"Nurses in Ent were pleasant."

About: Royal Preston Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nurses in Ent were pleasant.

What could be improved

Doctors should learn to listen and do thorough tests - not look down their noses and treat patients as a nuisance. Trying to pass them to other departments as quickley as possible and not bothering to explain their decisions.

Anything else?

in 1986 I became ill, visited a number of areas in hospital treated ok but no positive results. For a further 20 years I went to RPH for same problem, the ENT doctors were rude, did not listen and offered no help. A 2 hr visit to York balance centre in which I saw a consultant, had tests (available at RPH),resulted in being diagnosed, given some treatment but told because problem had persisted for so long there was no hope of improvement. Why did RPH ENT not treat me 20 years earlier? I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this department of RPH.
