"A and E Crosshouse hospital"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

This month my 14 year old son fell from his bike and broke his collarbone. We attended emergency at crosshouse. The care we received was fantastic. The treatment was prompt and informative. The medical staff talked at a level my son could understand and answered all his questions with patience. We basically waited 5 minutes to be seen and was discharged within the hour.

(Only negative was radiographer who looked like he did not wish to be on site on a sat night, then again neither did my son).

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear happy user,

Ouch, I hope he is okay now. It is great that your visit was so pleasant, it is good to hear, I am sure the staff in A/E will be delighted to get this feedback but I am sorry the radiographer was looking like he wanted to be elsewhere. I will pass this to the team and I am sure it will make their day and hopefully encourage some reflection too. Thank you for letting us know how your visit went, feedback is so important.

Best wishes,

Eunice

You are most welcome. It is good to hear all feedback but especially nice when I can pass on the good ones.

Dear happy user,

I passed your post to the A/E team and the X-Ray manager. The X-Ray manager was keen for the team to reflect on your comments. If you could call me or email me a few more details, it may help them to do so. If you are happy to drop me a quick line or call, we would need your name and address, your son's name and date of birth and a date of your Crosshouse A/E attendance.

Again, thank you for your time to let us know about your son's care,

Best wishes,

Eunice
