"Gastroscopy unit a shambles"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Under going investigation for Dysphagia. Needed platelets prior to samples being taken. Arrived three times, to be sent away, once no platelets ordered, next, blood count not checked properly, another time too busy to be seen. Appointment with specialist changed numerous times. Finally, arrived to see specialist, (14 month wait) but that appointment cancelled, it had been arranged for two weeks earlier. That letter arrived after the changed appointment! Asked a nurse if this shambles was normal, yes they said, it's endemic through the hospital. I will not rely upon Stoke Mandeville for my families care! it's a terribly badly organised place. The staff seem demoralised, and the management complacent beyond belief. What are they actually paid to do? Masters of misrule. Please, do not reply with your standard glib response. Spend some time and actually try and improve this huge waste of tax payers money.
