"I have had cause to take my wife ..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

I have had cause to take my wife to the Royal Blackburn on a score or more occasions since she broke her leg in 2005 (spral fracture of tibia and fibia), operated on for the first two ops at BRI, and for the final op at the RB.

She was sent to the Beardwood to see a consultant there last month, and appart from the plush carpet and free cups of coffee the service compared unfavorably. Our forefathers campaigned for the NHS and we should be proud of its existance.

Today we were at the RB again, this time to see about a hip replacement for my wife.

Again I was utterly impressed with the quality of service that was offered.

In between time my step-daughter had cause to give birth to her first-born at the RB. The little girl has had asthmatic symptoms since, and she has been taken back to the RB on several occasions to be taken care of.

The only sad thing is that some consultants decide to take their talents to the likes of Beardwood!
