"Idiotic system"

Having been to the eye clinic (acute referral unit....stupid name for an eye clinic) before with an eye infection I expected to go straight to the unit as before, register and wait. I had the same recurring eye infection so I knew that I needed to see an ophthalmic specialist and not an ordinary doctor. The system now has an extra layer of unnecessary beaucracy and wasting of A&E emergency staff resources. I had to register at A&E and then wait to see an A&E doctor only to be transferred to the eye clinic to wait again to see an ophthalmic specialist. What a totally idiotic system, a complete waste of precious A&E time and resources and a waste of my time. The staff that dealt with my care were absolutely superb a pity that the "managers" who create the "system" cannot measure up to the high standards set by the clinical staff.
