My first biopsy was taken in July, I chased for the results for 3 weeks ringing different sites because no one appeared to know where my records were.
Eventually, I was told over the phone that insufficient cells had been taken and I got the impression, I wouldn't have been told if I hadn't have asked for them.
I had a second biopsy done and was told I'd get the results in a week.
Then 10 days after my second biopsy, I received a letter from the hospital, I thought it was the results from the second biopsy, but no, it was confirming the results from the first biopsy.
I regularly chase for the results of the second biopsy, but every time, I telephone, I get a message saying either I am out of the office back next week or I'm holiday, or the Dept. is closed
I don't think the staff at the hospital appreciate how stressful it is waiting for results and there is no one available to discuss, when you are likely to get the results if they don't arrive when the Doctor/ Consultant tells you they will.
