"City should win an award for the most caring hospital"

My mother is 63yrs old and has been treated at City hospital oncology unit, by Dr Spooner and his team, for 10yrs. She had breast cancer 10yrs ago and within a week she was addmitted into hospital. The care was outstanding, she was treated like a person not just like a patient. They even envolved us in everything. The after care was realy good. They always took time to listen.

Then 18mths ago my mom was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer. She requested to go back to City as she and us have the greatest confidence in all the staff at City. I feel it is only due to City’s quick action and care that I still have my mother today. I would like to thank all the oncology staff at City, for helping me to keep my mom alive and well.

If there was an award for the best most careing hospital they should get it. I think that if a few more nhs staff was as caring then the nhs would not be in so much mess.
