"Thank you to staff in the Neurosurgery"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as the patient),

I arrived at the Western in August for an appointment which, without my knowledge, had been cancelled. The secretary, the sister in charge and the consultant Mr Stratham were very helpful in agreeing to see me.

Thank you.

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Good morning, and thanks for getting in touch through Patient Opinion to let me know about your recent experience. First of all, I am really sorry that your appointment was cancelled without you being notified but I'm really pleased that this was resolved for you at the time by all of the staff you mentioned above. It's great to see that they pulled together to make sure that you didn't have a wasted journey and were able to keep your appointment.

Thanks again for giving us your feedback and I wish you all the best,

Lorna
