About: Gowanlea Day Service

(as a service user),

I enjoy coming to Gowanlea, it’s a first class service. Most meals are good; some days I don’t fancy the food much but most are ok.

I like the quizzes and crosswords, these keep the brain active and we all do them together.

Transport is excellent, the drivers Jackie and Charlie are so helpful getting us on and off the bus.

The carers are excellent, very helpful, I can only use 1 hand so they cut up my food for me and help me to the toilet. Margaret, the manager, is excellent and organizes everything so well.

The staff have changed a bit with retirements but the new girls are just as good as the old ones. I don’t think the service could improve, I really enjoy it.

With relation to the food, please note that I will pass your comments to the Catering Manager for the area to see what improvements can be made to the standard of the catering at the centre.
