"Great experience considering circumstances"

Considering the circumstances under which I had to go to have surgery after breaking my back. Having never spent a day in hospital or having had surgery I was very nervous, but my mind was put at rest by the consultant, who personally kept me up to date on the day of the surgery as to why there were delays etc due to a trauma. All staff were very kind and having been transferred from Broomfields hospital at 6pm arriving on the ward at around 7pm the doctor came straight away to do my checks the day before my surgery and to explain what was happening. After surgery, although there were a couple of hiccups with sickness, all nurses treated me really well and helped put my mind at rest. I would like to say a big thank you to all staff at Needham ward for their care
