I visited A&E at Chorley on Sunday evening about 10pm due to a cycling accident in which i'd damaged my wrist, check in was great and the receptionist was lovely, i sat and waited about 15 minutes before being called in by the triage nurse, again who was absolutely lovely and chatty. They sent me for an x-ray, again this was straight away as no one else was waiting for one. Then i was told to go and sit back in the waiting room to be told my results.. 4 hours later.. after watching more and more people being called back who had been x-rayed after me, we were the only ones left when an unfriendly doctor called me into a room and told me nothing was broken, then the doctor poked around at my arm and asked me why they hadn't x-rayed my wrist? (surely thats not my fault) and then sent me for another x-ray on my wrist, then i waited a further 35 minutes to be called in to tell me that it was too swollen to really tell how bad it is and then i was gonna get bandaged up and have to return on Thursday.. which i am not looking forward too.
"5 hours.."
