"Rude Staff"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Hospital staff shouldn't have to endure rude behaviour from patients and neither should patients by staff. Patients should not have to receive abuse over a simple misunderstanding, when a simple, calm explanation would suffice. Possibly the person on the Blood Test reception desk this morning should consider this and possibly enrol themself on a course to improve their customer service skills.

I am sorry to hear of your experience at the Haematology Department. This is not the type of behaviour we expect from our staff. Please be assured that I have spoken to the staff member concerned and I have embarked upon a series of communications reminding all phlebotomists of the Trusts core behaviours.

If you would like to discuss this with me in more detail, please contact our Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01536 493305, who will be able to put you through to me directly.

Mike Silverstone

Haematology Manager
