"Could we please have my mum's ears syringed immediately"

About: NHS Leeds West CCG

(as a relative),

Mum needs her ears syringing. I have contacted the doctor the first week in August. the doctor prescribed drops for her ears and advised that the district nurse would syringe her ears after the two week period. I called the doctor to ask when the nurse would visit. They were not able to give me a date. My sister and I both live in London and cannot be with mum. When my sister contacted the doctor and the district nurses, an appointment was provided for in later August and another for even later in August and both were cancelled. It is now four weeks since mum began the drops. She cannot hear the telephone or the door bell and the emergency alarms that she has. We cannot check her hearing aids until such time as she has had her ears syringed. My sister was advised that ear syringing is low priority. This surely cannot be the case here. This is appalling. Mum is totally housebound and her only communication with the outside world is the telephone other than the visits from her carers that she has three times a day to administer the drops. Could we please have my mums ears syringes immediately. I hold you the district nurse team liable should anything happen to my mother caused by her not being able to hear.
