"Acting on behalf of my 93 year old mother"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

My ninety three year old mother Ethel has just spent 7 days on Lancaster ward the staff on that ward I cannot fault in any way. My complaint is she was put in room on her own and being nearly deaf found this very isolating. Her main problem was her mobility and what did the hospital do to get her mobile nothing what so ever. Taken to the toilet and back that was all.

Response from United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your mother’s recent stay on Lancaster ward.

I will ensure your thanks are passed onto the ward staff, positive feedback such as this is always welcomed, and does a lot to maintain morale.

Regarding your mother’s mobility, I would need some more details from you before I can look into her care, and why physiotherapy did not appear to have been offered.

If you could contact our PALS team on 01522 707071, or by email at pals@ulh.nhs.uk, they can take your mother’s details and pass these on to the correct team to review your mother’s care.

Thank you again for your comments.
