Following a breakdown my depression and anxiety had escalated to the point where I was suicidal on a daily basis, self-harming and my anxiety had got to the point where I was struggling to leave the house. From my very first telephone assessment with inclusion matters I could tell that the staff knew exactly where I was coming from- I felt immediately at ease; after mixed experiences with the mental health system, I finally felt that I was being taken seriously and that someone wanted to help. Everyone I spoke to at inclusion matter treated me with real compassion, patience and empathy.
Over the last couple of years I have had two separate sets of therapy with inclusion matters. Both therapists I had were outstanding – it is not an exaggeration to say that without their help- I don’t think I would be here today.
All the techniques and strategies they taught me are far too numerous for me to detail here but suffice to say I now fell, at last, in control of my thoughts and emotions. Recovery is a long road but I am now starting to get my life back. To the therapists that worked with me- they both really were exemplary. Long may inclusion matters help people like me out of the darkness and into the light.
