"These operations have changed my life"

I had my left hip replaced at the Golden Jubilee in January this year, which went exceptionally well. So much so that, when my right hip needed replaced too, I opted to return to this wonderful hospital in August for that procedure.

Once again, from the pre op consultation to admission and thereafter everything was excellent. Despite having had the operation before, I was still nervous and scared this time around. The nursing staff, anaesthetist, admission staff and surgical team were amazing. They really helped put me at ease and, again, the process was seamless (no pun intended! )

I cannot put into words just how much these operations have changed my life. At only 11 days post op, I am walking with no pain and am finally getting my life back to how it should be at 42 years old. Please pass on my kindest wishes and massive gratitude to all the wonderful staff who helped me (amongst others my surgeon Mr Ohly and his team, nurses Lindsay, Leah, Carrie and Sunnie, the very helpful night nurses, the lovely ward assistants and the fantastic therapy team).

This hospital is a huge credit to our brilliant NHS and a true benchmark as to how all hospitals should be. Given future choice (hopefully not required! ) I would not go anywhere else.
