"Gateford Children's Centre"

I am currently on maternity leave and visit Gateford Children's Centre at least once a week. This is for baby group, getting my baby boy weighed and I have also attended the Rhodesia Children's Centre for baby massage. Every experience has been a positive and welcoming one. All staff have been approachable and helpful.

The weekly group and weigh in has offered some structure to my week and has given me the opportunity to meet new mums. I feel this has helped my initial experience of motherhood and benefited in all areas of my babies development.

Having the centre for both scheduled groups and drop ins is a great safety net for any questions I have had.

I have met some lovely mothers and it's great to know with living local that the babies we have met will most likely go to nursery and school together.

I can imagine these groups being great for mothers which are isolated or new to the area. I have friends with babies who I visit regularly but this service offers something different to that and would recommend the Children's Centre to friends and family who live locally.
