"From bad to worse"

About: Essex County Hospital

Further to my review posted on 26/8/15, I saw a locum at my mothers GP surgery yesterday and the doctor ascertained the Basal Cell Carcinoma that they thought had been removed on 12/7/15 has not been removed.

Apparently Colchester Dermatology has been contracted out and they only took a photograph and a biopsy even though they had 30 BCC's over the last 25 years and with one look it's obvious to a blind man what it is, along with the 2 new ones near it.

Although it does explain why it still looks so bad after all this time.

The locum rang me this morning to advise they found out my mother was supposed to have been referred to the Plastic Surgery Dept after her last visit to Colchester on 12/7/15 but this has not been done.

They've told them they are looking into it and will write to my mother, but no timespan can be given.

This has now been going on since Feb.2015 when they cancelled my mothers 7/4/15 appointment and she now has 3 BCC's on her leg and 1 on her neck which continue to grow bigger each day.

After leaving messages on their answerphones for callbacks with the Colchester Dermatology Community Outpatients, the Pastic Surgery Dept. and Colchester Complaints Dept. (who say they'll respond within 24 hours) on 24/8/15 and 25/8/15 nobody has rung me back at todays date of 28/8/15.

If anybody had told me this story I would say it's unbelievable, but sadly it's all true.

Not sure where I go from here yet, but will not give up!
