"I would like to go to bed later"

I have carers from Lowland four times a day; morning, lunch, dinner and to put me to bed.

I get put to bed at 8pm which is too early for me. I go to sleep too early which means I wake up at 2am and then I’m tossing and turning for the next 5 hours. My daughter is trying to get this changed so we’ll see what next month brings.

Lowland seem short staffed as so many carers are leaving. I think they don’t get paid enough as they only get paid the hours they work and transport isn’t provided. I also don’t think they get much training.

I have good choice with my meals, I can more or less get what I want.

The carers change a lot. It’s good if you have a run for a couple of weeks with the same carers, they get to know you. Then they change and its questions, questions, questions. I’ve got a care plan but I don’t think they always read it.
