My 14 year old daughter was admitted to Charlie's Day Unit by our GP to be assessed for emergency surgery on an abscess. We were seen speedily and at every step each member of staff was lovely.
They treated my daughter as the intelligent, frightened teenager she was - reassuring her at every step and preparing her for surgery and aftercare.
Within four hours of arriving, my daughter was in theatre with surgeon who visited later that night on the ward to ensure she was comfortable and explain that everything went well.
Thank you so much for helping her to have an entirely positive first experience of hospital.
