"Appalling administration at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I had a shadow on my lung and so went to Royal Bolton Hospital, Thoracic, Endoscopy and Radiology departments for treatment. The best thing was they way they were explaining what it was all about. However, there could have been better coordination between the nurses, doctor's secretary and reception staff.

I wasn't happy with the way I was kept waiting and not seen to. When I arrived last week I wasn't even on the computer. I found this very upsetting.

My appointment last month was at 10.10am, I got out at 1.15pm. It took nearly an hour just to book an appointment for a bronchoscopy and scan. The appointment was made for the 24th May, then got changed to the 22nd. When I arrived on the 22nd no-one had changed it from the 24th, so I wasn't booked in for the 22nd. So I had to wait while they got records and see the doctor.

Had to wait for blood test, even though the department phoned up to see if it had been done, in all the Administration was appalling.
