"Service is not organised well"

I’ve had Alpha carers since March and I’m not happy. The office can’t organise things well, it seems to be chaos.

• Because of the times the carers come I need to spend 12 hours in bed every day. The morning time is good but I would prefer to go to bed later at night

• I don’t know who is coming to my home (with the previous company I had the same carers every day). I understand holiday cover but there doesn’t seem to be any system

• The carers come late and my wife needs to phone several times to find out where they are. They can be up to an hour late and this is a problem on the days I go to the day centre

• I think that the office doesn’t communicate with the carers – you phone and leave a message and they don’t seem o pass it on. We had visitors one night, my wife phoned the office to say we didn’t need the carer but the carer still turned up, all the way from Kilmarnock because no one had told her.

I also have to say the carers themselves are nice, I have no complaints about them, they work really well.
