I come to the day centre two days each week and it’s quite enjoyable. I like the company and the games like cards and quizzes occupy your time. I know that twice a week I am going to get out the house.

They took us on a trip to Hunterston power station, it was quite interesting. Occasionally I like going to Centre Stage, it’s fun to see people up dancing although I’m afraid I can’t anymore.

Sometimes the meals could improve at the centre, what comes isn’t always what was on the menu. I think this might be because of the school holidays.

My wife is not fit at the moment so can’t push my wheelchair so we can’t get out. We’ve used dial a bus a few times. I applied for a power chair but they turned me down as I only needed it for outdoor use. It would be good if I could get out more with my wife.

Please note my thanks to you for taking the time to let us know about your experience of the day service that you attend.

It is good to hear that you are enjoying your time at the day centre and that there is a range of meaningful activities for you take part in if so wish.

I have passed on the point you have raised about the quality of the food to the area manager for the catering service and I hope that the drop in standards was just a one off but I will monitor that.

I do hope that you are able to get out and about more but in the meantime I hope also that the day centre continues to support outings for you too.
