"Knee Surgery thank you"

I came into North Tees as a day case and had right knee surgery on 24/8/15. I was absolutely terrified having grown up with a fear of the prospect of any kind of surgery.

I was admitted to the access lounge on the afternoon and all the staff I came into contact with were very friendly helpful and reassuring. Everything was clearly explained to me and I was able to stay in a little private room with my husband until I was taken to theatre. After only a couple of hours wait I was taken down to theatre, I was absolutely terrified but all the staff were very good and did there best to reassure me I'd be fine and had nothing to worry about. I remember a lovely member of staff down in theatre who was very very kind and gentle and had big lovely smile.

The whole experience has changed my outlook completely and made me realise I had nothing to be so scared of. Thank you everybody, the surgeon did a fantastic job n I'm now on my road to recovery.
