About: Pontefract General Infirmary

My son had a severe panic attack whilst driving (he didnt know it was that at the time as he has never experienced anything so scary) and called an ambulance which took him to the hospital.

He is on some medication at the moment, one of the side effects is anxiety, on the information sheet it states if this happens to seek immediate medical help.

The doctor who he saw told my son that it was just a panic attack and then was very rude and very unprofessional telling my son that he was wasting their time and to get out of the hospital!

This is appalling. I was under the impression that medical people are in a profession to help everyone whatever thier symptoms are.

My son is not the type of person who would waste their time.

I felt very annoyed and disappointed to learn that my son had been treated in this way.
