"A very nice hospital with extremely nice staff"

About: East Surrey Hospital

I have had three experiences with this hospital, the main one being in 2004 when they saved my wife's life after a very serious life threatening and sudden illness!!

Personally I have had to attend the hospital twice, once for gallstones and the other for a broken bone.

On every occasion I have found the staff to be highly efficient, professional and well mannered.

In my opinion anyone who knocks the staff want their head testing. The staff are under immense pressure all of their shifts and work extremely long hours, sometimes without a break!! If the government think they are worth only 1% for the next four years then the public will no doubt suffer when they need the hospital.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for your comments about East Surrey Hospital and the various times you've had reason to use the hospital.

Its good to read that you and your wife have felt so well supported by what I assume is your local hospital.

We are always striving to improve and in recent years have made a lot of significant investment in staff and facilities to ensure that we can continue to provide outstanding care.

As you point out the NHS is very much a people organisation and the contribution made by all staff in delivering care is the very essence of what makes the NHS so important and valuable.

Regards

Ian
