My female friend had 4 visits to the Hell that is A&E department in 6 weeks thanks to severe abdominal pains, the last visit resulted in a 9 hour wait not helped by being treated by a doctor who seemed to have little understanding of English, we had to sit in the chaos of the Majors Dept. until a bay became spare.
she was then admitted and spend 13 days being moved around 4 different wards with varying doctors coming up with different diagnosis none of which where correct and the main care being strong pain killers as her bowels where obstructed, and no one referred her to the correct consultant who we where told was on holiday which we subsequently found out was a lie. The final insult being made when she was told without notice that she was to be discharged to await an outpatients appointment, her consultant was the most rude and obnoxious person I have ever experienced and should be avoided at all costs.
She is still in severe pain, her GP is disgusted with her treatment at the Harvey and stated that they recommended that should she need an A&E in the future to go to the QEQM in Margate, which is a 80 mile round trip.
Avoid the William Harvey at all costs
