My mother in law was admitted to the stroke unit and later transferred to the sovereign ward and often left unattended. The nurses didn't pay attention to her symptoms and it is most shocking that she knew she was having a stroke but it took ages for a doctor to see us. It is very scary for us as we cannot trust the hospital, the one place that we can go doe help when something like this happens. What do we do when her case is not treated with urgency? Who do we turn to? When we leave her to go home we are not at all confident she is being looked after. There is only one hospital in Eaatbourne, it is not like we can take her somewhere else. I read the complaint on this site after desperately searching for help online. Now it is apparent that this is actually a usual occurrence at the hospital. Her situation is deteriorating and to date we have no medication to help her or no proper diagnosis. We re not going to give up without a fight.
