"Occupational therapist for fibromyalgia"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Occupational Therapy University Hospital Wishaw / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

I was recently diagnosed as having fibromyalgia. It was and is hard to deal with but my occupational therapist was brilliant. She was really nice and understanding and has really helped me a lot, in regards to understanding and managing the condition to aids in my home so I can be a little more independent. The job they do is amazing and I would definitely recommend them!

Dear LynnA,

Thank you for your postive comments about your recent experience of Occupational Therapy. I am delighted that you feel that your therapist helped you to understand your condition, and that she was able to help you to achieve more independence at home.

Your post will help others who are diagnosed with fibromyalgia to appreciate that small changes can make a big difference.

Wishing you continued progress.
