"A & E Visit"

I am from another part of the country and was in the Slough area on a coach tour.

I had undergone an operation to remove an area of skin cancer 10 days before the holiday, and had the stitches out 3 days before leaving home.

Unfortunately on the first day of my holiday the wound burst open and left me with a large, messy wound on my chin.

I went to A & E and cannot speak highly enough of everyone who dealt with me.

The wound was found to be infected, they cleaned it out and gave me a course of antibiotics.

A plastic surgeon would have re-stitched it had it not been for the infection.

A sister was most helpful and professional, and the nurse who cleaned it out and dressed it was pleasant and caring.

An appointment was made for me to attend the Plastics Dressings dept. 2 days later just to check the wound, clean it out again and re-dress it.

As someone from out of the area, and feeling very concerned about my operation site, I could not have received better or more profesional treatment.
