I was admitted to Stoke Mandeville Hospital Burns Unit after a referral with severe burns to my hand, forearm and abdomen. I needed skin grafting and was in for over a week.
The treatment I received from this dedicated team of Nurses and Doctors was second to none. Dressings were changed which was a very painful experience with compassion, and professionalism. The whole team were friendly and I got to know each one by name which made the whole experience bearable. At times there was also a sense of humour. Sister Gail headed up the team at that time and is a real assesst to the burns unit. Thankyou to the plastics and burns team for all your hard work
