"The Paramedics were great but ..."

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The Paramedics were great but I did not like anything about the A&E Department.

What could be improved

After coming in with a severe asthma attack by ambulance I was put into a little room that looked like a prison cell. The nurses did not come in and regulary check on me. When the doctor finally came he did not seem to understand what he was doing. He left half way through the examination and was gone for about 20 minutes when he came back in he told me he had forgotton about me. The staff didn't seem very professional at all.

I am sorry to read that you had an unsatisfactory experience when you were brought in to our hospital. We would be happy to speak to you so we can put things right for future patients. Please give our advice centre a call on 01246 512640 and speak to one of the team. Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
