"The service has turned my life"

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as a service user),

I had already been for a therapy service before and felt as though I had had a relapse. I didn't have any motivation to do anything and I didn't get out very much. I was afraid of talking to people and getting in their way. I contacted my GP and was forwarded to Inclusion Matters. After an initial telephone interview about my situation, I had to wait 9 months for any treatment. I should add that this is the only problem I had with the service and I have been assured that the waiting times have been reduced, but apart from this, everything else was brilliant.

I received talking therapy sessions with one of the therapists who worked with social anxiety, and we broke down my issues every week. She was very patient with me and made me feel very comfortable to talk about anything with her. I finished the service and haven't had a doubt of my ability since. I have started improving my fitness and started working in a shop, which has boosted my confidence massively. All in all the service has turned my life around and I cannot thank them for all of their good work, they are the real life hero's that don't get enough praise for the work that they do.
