"Changing midwife"

About: Cumbernauld Community Maternity

(as the patient),

I changed midwife when I was around 31 weeks pregnant as I never felt listened to or felt welcome, she also made my partner or anyone who came to the appointments with me feel that way too, also never reassured me in anyway, but I changed midwife and was the best thing I done as she is very pleasant and always listenes to me and makes me feel at ease, so now I am happy with my care.

Dear nicole18

Thank you for sharing your experience of care with the community team. I am sorry to hear that you did not feel reassured or listened to in the early stages of your pregnancy.

It is our aim that all women receive a personalised approach and have a positive relationship with their midwife in order to obtain the maximum benefit from the care and advice given.

I am pleased that we were able to facilitate a new midwife that you have confidence in as you look forward to the birth of your baby.

Can I assure you your feedback is extremely valuable to us and will contribute to ongoing development of our services.

Best wishes

Maureen
