Under the surgeon I underwent a THR on Saturday 1st August and I cannot praise enough the treatment received from all concerned.The surgical team were reassuring and informative and I was not at-all nervous about the procedure.The operation was a success and once back on the ward I was looked after by a lovely, caring and competent nursing staff.Initially I was a little apprehensive about there not being back up staff with it being a weekend. However,early the following morning I was sent down for an x-ray then saw the surgeon and shortly after was seen by two physiotherapists one of which saw me again in the afternoon.The occupational therapy team were also on hand to ascertain what my needs were at home and arranged delivery prior to my arrival at home after only two nights in hospital.A big thanks to everyone,Bob Ditchfield
