What I liked

From the moment my husband and I entered the hospital, we were treated with courtesy and respect. All of the staff we had dealings with were highly efficient, very affable and, above all, totally professional. The staff of the Sherwood Birthing Unit enabled us to feel secure and calm during the birth of our child. Throughout our stay we were instilled with a sense that all of the health care professionals working within the unit knew their roles and responsibilities.

What could be improved

Due to the current building programme, the actual physical condition of the unit (e.g. no air conditioning) could have been improved. However, this did not detract from our stay at the unit.
