On the second week if our holiday we were at Callanaish stones, after a tiny run (200 yards) I felt unwell so walked to visitor centre. After getting worse, two off-duty doctors rang for an ambulance as I was diagnosed with a possible heart attack.
Considering where we were the ambulance time from Stornaway was really good. From the minute they arrived the level of care I received was amazing. I was taken to Stornoway hospital for more treatment and then to the airport for the trip to Glasgow jubilee cath lab.
The care and information I received was superb, from a remote location to specialist unit was excellent, and the rehabilitation care since has also been perfect.
Many thanks to all who helped me and to whom I owe my life, thank you.
