"Mother dies at North Manchester General after long painful illness"

In March 2005 my mother died after a long and painful illness. It was as a family and after her contracting the MRSA virus that we decided she would suffer no more.

It is mine and my family's belief that since being admitted perfectly healthy in November of 2004, her worsening condition was down to the poor care from a number of the hospital staff and as a family we feel that we virtually undertook the role that nurses should have taken.

Had her consultant been more proactive in determining the cause we believe she might have been alive today.

I am still angry at the some of the care she received and what in my opinion is the indifference shown her by some of the doctors and some of the nurses.
