"I was initially admitted onto ..."

About: Kettering General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was initially admitted onto Surgical Admissions but moved to a ward Deene B within about 3 hrs.

Staff on Deene B were fantastic, from the doctors to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly and took time to talk if they could. Nurses took time to answer any questions I had and once a final diagnosis had been made I was very impressed with the speed that my medication was organised. I was on Deene B for 7 days and everyone was great.

I was then moved onto Tywell which was a bit of a shock as it was much noisier and busier but the standard of care was still maintained and I was kept fully informed of what my treatment was. I was on that ward for 2 days before discharge.

The level of cleanliness was superb and there was always a member of housekeeping keeping things up to date during the day.

Even the porters who ferried me back and forth were chatty and friendly.

All in all it made a worrying time away from my daughter a slightly less stressful event.

I am now under care of consultants for Obstetrics, Gastro and Haematology and so far I have no complaints there either.

What could be improved

At the moment I cannot think of anything in particular that needed improvement but this is just based on my experience on the 3 areas I was in during my stay

Anything else?

No at this time
