"MRI/fracture clinic"

About: Lister Hospital

My 11 year old daughter has waited nearly 3months for a MRI scan. The appointment is in two weeks and today I received a letter changing the date. I have taken time off work and organised child care for the original date. When I telephoned the hospital today they had little sympathy and told me if I didn't wait the new date she would have to go back on the waiting list. My daughter is currently on crutches struggling to walk. In two weeks she starts secondary school and going back on the waiting list is simply not an option.

I thought children would be a priority but clearly I am wrong. Very very disappointing.

We're sorry that you've experienced these problems.

Perhaps you would be willing to email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net so that we can take this matter up on your behalf so we can see what, if anything, can be done?

At the very least, you deserve a full explanation as to why the appointment was postponed.

We look forward to receiving your email so that we can seek to help you and your daughter.
