"Point of contact in Major (A&E)"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I think it would be good if there was a receptionist who dealt immediately with visitors within this department. On arrival to look for your relative, there are lots of staff about, very busy as normal, you are not sure who is who, and you ask one member of staff who point you to someone else. This causes you to be anxious and also not nice for relatives who are waiting for your arrival, they want to see you asap.

If there was a designated part, with a clear sign, 'Enquires' or such like then people would know to go directly there, to ask the person, rather than hang about or decide to go looking for relative along the corridors, which is not good practice, when they could ask and be directed by the hospital staff member.
