"Waste of time"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

I was referred to the Wisdem clinic around 2 years ago for specialist support. I have not received any of the support that I was promised. I don't even have a named consultant that I can go to for answers. I have been given very few appointments, which when I have attended are not at all helpful, usually empty promises of other referrals which never materialise.

I have been waiting 2 years for the support or some advice to be begin!

I started to cry in my appointment today because I realise that there is no plan or direction for my care.

I also received an appointment for 2 days time which no one has any record of & today i was told to ignore it, but only because i questioned it..come on....this is my time and money to get to these useless appointments! each visit I pay petrol,parking and have to book a day out of work to attend. It was hard enough to have to come for support but now I feel totally hopeless and so so undervalued. I did call into PALS today but haven't heard back & to be fair, felt that the rep. was quite defensive of the service before I went into much detail of what had happened, I felt it was assumed it was my misunderstanding.

It was even mentioned that I had been overlooked and somehow missed by the service, by one of the professionals I have been seen by. My experience has left me feeling total disillusioned, right from the beginning, where I had to continually chase whether they had received my referral in the first place,which had to be put in twice by my GP in the first place. I really hope I m in the minority but felt it important to share my upsetting experience.
