I am honestly shocked and saddened by the way in which patients are spoken to on this ward. New mothers should be offered support, guidance and help as needed but this is far from the case at Darlington memorial. Instead what is offered is rudeness, ignorance, the inability to consider individual needs and more than anything the feeling of being judged. It is sad that in this day and age patients and visitors are treated in this way. While several of the staff are excellent representatives of the NHS, the majority are not and should attend top up training or consider alternative careers.
