"the caring environment where not ..."

About: Royal Derby Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

the caring environment where not just my essential physical needs were met but the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and try to cheer me up and deal with the emotional side of my illness. The staff remained cheerful and positive the whole time I was there.

What could be improved

The staff were overworked, and the renal ward was sometimes understaffed, they needed an extra cleaner on ITU, these are problems more with the funding of the NHS in general than the hospital

Anything else?

Some of the nursing staff on ITU and the renal ward were so lovely that I actually missed them when I left.
