"Fell and broke my shoulder"

On 1 August I fell and hurt my shoulder. From the ambulance paramedic team to the fracture clinic my experience has been brilliant. Thank you. I was in great pain and reacted badly to morphine. I was seen immediately in A&E by very caring staff who respected my dignity at all times. One particular nurse stayed with me and was so reassuring and caring despite the department being busy. The Dr kept informing me what was happening. I was very frightened and felt so poorly. I was eventually sent home with a sling, medication and a fracture clinic appointment. The surgeon at the fracture clinic was very calm and explained how badly I had broken my shoulder. They arranged for another x Ray and then an urgent CT scan. The doctor got the results, discussed it with a colleague and told me their opinion - all in the same morning. I cannot fault my exceptional treatment by everybody.
