"Wonderful care in CCU"

8 years ago, my treatment at Wigan was a terrible experience, this time round however was simply amazing in every sense. I was brought in from Manchester Royal, to Wigan CCU, after having a second heart attack and a third stent fitted. I am also partially disabled and only 43 years old. Every single member of staff went the extra mile to make my stay here as pleasant as possible. I was updated and informed of my situation constantly, and the nurses who were literally run off their feet for 13 hour shifts, were all pleased to help me with any questions at any time, no matter how hot and busy they were. The Doctors treated me with the utmost of respect and contacted other specialists to treat my other less critical medical problems. Even the cleaning staff had a smile and a kind word to say to me whilst they were busy doing their tasks. I also suffer with anxiety and deppression so I am a constant worrier, yet I was tended to so well, I was constantly reassured of my status as I was was monitored by a wireless telemetry system. My main nurse is in my opinion a true angel, who's enthusiasm for their work shone through. Thank you to everyone responsible for my care. I will not let you down, I will make the changes I need to make to get better.
