"A unique experience in an oasis"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

July 6th 2015 I was admitted to Margaret Duncombe Ward for a mastectomy and reconstruction. As soon as I arrived, I was very impressed by the atmosphere of the ward, also the efficiency and warmth of the caring staff. It went a long way to reassure me, as I was facing a major operation. The operation was carried out on the 7th and I cannot fault anybody. The care, consideration and professionalism was far greater than I had anticipated and was very much appreciated, which after all, the operation was a very traumatic experience . Throughout my 8 day stay, the standard of care was 100%. I personally would describe the QVH as being unique, in fact an oasis. Everybody, including the backroom staff had one goal, which was to be as helpful, friendly, efficient and professional.
