"My father was on Manby Ward which ..."

About: County Hospital Louth

(as a relative),

What I liked

My father was on Manby Ward which was exceptionally clean and hand washes were in a prominent place for visitors to use. I noticed that all the doctors and nurses also reguarly used the hand washes. All of the doctors and nurses were extremely professional but friendly too. They treated my father with respect and dignity at all times(83yrs) and involved us and

him with regard to his care. Unfortunately my father passed away but I have only praise for all the staff as they found time to ensure he was comfortable in his last hours as well as offering us refreshment and a comfortable room for us to use. The hospitals in Essex where I live obviously cover a larger area and are very busy. The point I am making is that although the staff on Manby Ward were also very busy, they found time for each individual patient which is sadly lacking in alot of hospitals. So, well done Louth, and Thank You!

What could be improved

My only comment here would be to have some sort of large reminder for visitors to use the hand wash coming and going as most did but some did walk straight past.
