"Emergency finger injury"

About: Cambourne Redruth Community Hospital

After a fall late yesterday evening, I went immediately to Minor Injuries as I had landed on my hand and ended with 2 fingers sticking out at right angles. There were several others waiting but I was examined immediately, given painkillers, and sent directly to Xray to check for fractures. The scans showed two fingers were dislocated. The nurse gave me the option of a painkilling injection or immediate treatment and when I opted for the latter they very carefully straightened the badly disjointed fingers with minimum discomfort thanks to treatment being given so promptly. Everything was explained to me and all my questions answered. Arrangements were made for me to return in the morning for a further Xray and check up, as well as an appointment made for the Hand Clinic. I could not have received better treatment anywhere. Many thanks to all the staff there..
